Double Win for Callum Voisin at Brands Hatch

Rounds 3 & 4.  It was a perfect weekend for Rosland Gold by Century Motorsport’s Callum Voisin with a win in each race at Brands Hatch this weekend in Rounds 3 & 4 of the Porsche Carrera Cup GB championship.

With a front row position gained in Quali 1 and pole position from Quali 2, the young Porsche scholar Voisin certainly showed everyone what he can do. Teammate Isaac Phelps wasn’t so lucky in Quali 1 as his P4 time was taken away due to a track limits infringement, meaning he had a P7 start for Race 1. Phelps' Quali 2 was another P7, with all the times so close - just a few tenths of a second between pole and P7.

Race One saw Callum Voisin get a slower getaway from the line than he’d have liked, finding himself drop from P2 to P4 by Turn 2. But within half a dozen laps he had worked his way to the front of the field of this shorter Brands Hatch Indy circuit. Voisin held the front until the end of the race, which he won by a clear 7 seconds from P2 Will Jenkins. Rosland Gold teammate Isaac Phelps started in P7 and managed to hold that position for the whole race. It was a good race for Rosland Gold with P1 and P7 finishes.

Race Two had Callum Voisin starting from pole position, which he kept for the whole race, finishing some 9 seconds ahead of Sid Smith in P2. The long lead was needed as the young Voisin had been given a 5-second penalty due to just an inch of his car outside the grid box at the start. Teammate Isaac Phelps started in P7 and had a good drive on this short & tight circuit to gain two places to come in at P5 (P4 in class). Another good race for Rosland Gold Racing by Century Motorsport.

It’s on to Snetterton in two weeks, where championship leader Callum Voisin and teammate Isaac Phelps will be hoping to both have another good weekend on the track!
