P1 Debut for Porsche Scholar Voisin!

Rounds 1 & 2.  It was an excellent start to the season at Donington Park this last weekend. After a good qualifying, Callum Voisin started P2 and Isaac Phelps P3. Callum had a good start and stayed close to leader Jenkins for most of the race. He finally managed to make his move past Jenkins to take lead, which is where he stayed until the end of the race coming home P1! What a Carrera Cup debut! Isaac Phelps fell to P7 from P3 after a slightly baulked start. However, he worked hard and had a great drive to work his way up to finish P5. So, a P1 and P5 finish for Rosland Gold in Race 1 of the new season. 

After the podium presentations, Callum Voisin pulled out the 5-ball for reverse grid, but a penalty for Jack Sherwood meant he was demoted and Isaac Phelps promoted to a P4 finish. This meant Callum Voisin was starting P5, and Isaac Phelps starting P2 in Race 2.

Isaac Phelps had a front row start, however he had an unlucky getaway which resulted in a poor first corner at Redgate - with a drive through the gravel ending with him falling to the back of race pack. But that was short-lived and did not stop Isaac, who had an excellent drive which saw him move up through the places to a P5 finish! Callum Voisin had a good start to the race and showed some hard fighting to get past P4 and P3. Here is where he stayed for the remainder of the race, coming home P3.

So a P3 and P5 finished in race 2 for Rosland Gold!  

An excellent first weekend of the season, with a lot of promising driving being shown for the season ahead!
