Designed by Joseph Bonomi, this extremely limited edition 22k gold Sovereign coin has been minted to show the beautiful 'Pattern Crown' produced during Queen Victoria's reign. The original coin is dated 1837.
This very stylish Pattern Crown from Queen Victoria's reign was inspired by Greco-Roman-Egyptian designs, where on one side is the beautiful and iconic portrait of Queen Victoria, showing Minerva holding Victory in her hand.
This is considered as one of the most interesting Victorian Pattern coins, as the design is incuse with raised fields. The original pattern is widely collected and original specimens sell for many thousands of pounds.
With a series of just 150 coins struck, there is a very limited number of these coins having been produced. Each of these collectable examples are offered in a presentation box with an individually numbered certificate.
It is also PCGS-graded, to a very high grade.
