The Mexican mint, Casa de Moneda de Mexico, has minted the Gold Libertad, which has stood for freedom since 1981. These gold coins, which are also popularly called Onza, have no face value and are still considered official currency in Mexico. The beautiful motif of the goddess of victory, which stands on a pedestal in front of two volcanoes, has remained unchanged since 1996. On the back there is an eagle holding a snake between the claws and the beak and is considered the Mexican heraldic animal. In addition, 10 additional small coats of arms of the 1 ounce gold coins frame the larger one, which can be seen in the middle.

Since 1991 the gold coins have a fineness of 99.9% (.999) fine gold and have been minted as 1 ounce, 1/2 ounce and 1/4 ounce from the beginning. From 1991 the sizes 1/10 ounce and 1/20 ounce in gold were added. Also in 1982 - only one year later - silver coins with the same motif were minted. Over time, the motif has been adapted several times, as well as the sizes and specifications changed. Until 1990 only 1 ounce was minted in silver, which was changed from 1996 with additional sizes of 2 ounces, 5 ounces, and from 2002 with 1 kilogram.

These beautiful silver coins with .999 fine silver are available both as brilliant uncirculated (usually freshly minted new goods) and as a proof. The circulation of the regular gold coins has changed every year upon request. This beautiful gold coin 1 ounce gold coin Mexican Libertad 2014 PP with the minting quality Proof from 2014 has a precious metal content of 99.9% fine gold, as well as a fine weight of 31.10g and is delivered with a denomination of 1 ounce in a coin capsule.
