A total of only 5,000 official gold coins of the Formula 1® Gran Premio d’Italia ™ were issued in 2016 with a weight of 7.78 grams and a gold content of 99.99% in the highest quality Proof.

Even if the Italian Grand Prix at Formula 1® has only been held since the first F1 World Championship was held in 1950, the first Italian Grand Prix at the Monza Autodromo took place as early as 1922.

That was the time of Ascari and Nuvolari, as well as Auto Union, Mercedes and Bugatti, who alternately left Monza as winners against FIAT and Alfa Romeo.

The first GP in 1950 was won by Farina in Alfa Romeo against Ascari, Fagioli and Fangio, all in Alfa Romeo. The record holder at the Monza GP is still Michael Schumacher with 5 Grand Prix wins with Ferrari.

Description

UNIQUE 91 OZ SILVER PROOFS CELEBRATE THE ACHIEVEMENTS OF MICHAEL SCHUMACHER

ONLY FROM ROSLAND

Rosland is honoured to have been asked to celebrate – in a joint collaboration with Formula 1 – the achievements of Michael Schumacher, seven-times World Champion and an inspiration to millions.

The first silver coin in the collection is a 91oz 999.0 fine silver proof, created to commemorate Mr Schumacher’s 91 Grand Prix wins – the most victories of any Formula 1 Grand Prix driver.
The proof coin features an iconic and charming portrait of Michael Schumacher, together with his signature/ logo and the dramatic F1 logo.

The coins were issued as 2019 mintage to mark 25 years since Mr Schumacher won his first championship title.
The obverse side of the coin features Ian Rank-Broadley’s portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II together with the legal tender value of the coin.
Each coin is accompanied by commemorative packaging including a certificate number, statement of metal fineness, weight, proof quality statement, and the signature of the Swiss assayer who certifies the work of PAMP SA, one of the world’s finest coin producers. The coin is packaged with an acrylic display block and a large carbonite presentation case.
Only 20 of these 999.0 fine silver coins will ever be offered.
