Last time out at Brands Hatch was another great step forward, as every lap spent in the car amounts to a better understanding of its capabilities. Between Brands Hatch and the next round, which see’s us head to Cheshire’s Oulton Park on the 31st July | 1st August, our consistency continues as Driver Andy Spencer battles his way to the top. Always looking for that extra tenth of a second and tweaking different set ups, Andy will be hopping into the Simulator in preparation for Oulton Park. Spencer continues “Brands Hatch was a mixed bag as I wasn’t really happy with myself until the 3rd Race of the day, where it just clicked and I dialled into the car for the first time. It’s a great feeling when you reach that mark, but the real work on finding that extra tenth really starts now. And that’s why I’m off to Ginetta for a Sim session before Oulton Park”.
Spencer-continues “It was definitely a case of shoulders out for Race3 and its paid off for sure. When your defending your naturally loosing time, but with the feeling I was getting out of the car it all just started to click into position. My start’s all year have been great, whereby I’ve on average made up 3-4 places within the first lap. And it’s this that I’ve got to build upon and maintain consistency throughout the race. I’m really looking forward to Oulton Park and having had time in the Sim beforehand, should see me carry that momentum forward into and throughout the weekend”.
